Hard Coat Application

Hard coat anodizing application can be applied in many products. This can be used in house hold, or in industrial apparatus and equipment, such as in Laboratory analyses and testing. Some service company and repair company use hard coat anodizing process to serve their customer to give satisfaction to their customer and create credible company for their service. Many application can use hard coat anodized aluminum , for example as below: Automotive, can use in interior or as Car Wheel.  Aviation & Aerospace (mostly all frame and the furniture use aluminum anodized)  Buildings & Architecture (for structure frame, windows and door)  Electronics (for casing of electronic)  Food Manufacturing / Preparation Equipment (canning and keeping material and product)  Home Furnishing  General Manufacturing  Marine Industry  Medical / Dental Equipment  Military / Law Enforcement  Sporting Goods See other anodizing process: ...

The Benefit of hard coat Anodized

Benefit of hard aluminum anodizing is many. Hard coat anodizing have to create on the surface of aluminum because of many reason, and those reason is base on the benefit of this anodized, the benefit is as follows: More corrosion resistance  Looking better than normal aluminum  Use as insulator because oxide film can’t conduct electric current  Increase wear resistance and abrasion resistance  More bright can use as reflector  Light weight - Flame resistance  No contaminate for example in use for medical instrument See more about anodizing: Hard anodized Aluminum anodizing color Anodizing Process

Hard Anodized

Hard anodized for aluminum or hard anodizing aluminum is  similar to standard anodizing in that are controlled by electrochemical processes. The difference of hard anodizing provides a surface more wear resistant and has a smoother and harder surface than standard anodizing. Hard anodizing aluminum  will result a uniform aluminum oxide layer on the surface that penetrate the material pores. Anodizing process condition for hard anodizing involved by submersing part in sulfuric acid solution at room temperature from 20 minutes two hours. The longer time submerged determines the thickness of coating. Aluminum oxide formed in the surface during hardcoat anodizing is more uniform, dense, and much harder than the natural oxidation. Hard anodized is more focus on the properties of anodized oxide strength than aesthetics.  See More: Anodizing Process Summary Aluminum Anodizing Color

Aluminum Anodizing Color

Aluminumanodizing can be coloring with many color either use chemical reaction or by dyeing color like from chemical Industry. Dyeing color can buy from chemical industry like Clariant industry or from DIY chemicals. Many kind of anodizing color can be formed and no need to set up color charge , for common Anodizing Colors like Clear, Bronzes, Black & Gold Anodizing colors . For cu stom colors may require color agent setup to make the color is same as what customer want. See Others: Anodizing Process Summary Stainless Steel Manufacture

Electropolishing in Anodizing

Electropolishing is a treatment of aluminum using electric current in a chemical solution. The chemicals solution can be different for more detail can see on Electropolishing of Aluminum. Electropolishing is make the surface of aluminum is open, the pore of oxide film that already stay on the surface of aluminum oxide will remove and open. Oxide film surface can be formed in transportation or keeping in the store or just exposed to air. So the purpose of electropolishing is opening the oxide film surface on the aluminum surface. To give more detail about electropolishing can see on the picture diagram how this process applied. Basically use electric current to open the surface of oxide film on aluminum surface.
