Brass Production

Brass production technology have been used for long time ago. For example of cold forming process is produced high strength brass object, such as bolts and screws. The alloy known as Muntz metal contain 40% zinc and is used for hot working. See Also: Brass Characteristic

Brass Characteristic

Many kind of brass alloy have different characteristic. The percentage of zinc mixed with copper will affect its ductility and hardness. Such as alloy that contain of 30% zinc, called as cartridge brass provides the greatest measure of ductility and strength and is used for cold forming operations, where brass is shaped by rolling, drawing, deep drawing, and other machining processes. Brass Alloy

Brass alloy have color dull-white but people often says as brass color. Brass is an alloy consisting of 50% or more of copper, to which zinc and smaller amounts of other elements usually tin, lean, or aluminum have been added. Bronze is a copper base alloy where tin, rather than zinc, is used). Their contain of copper and aluminum make this alloy is stand to corrode. See Also: Bronze Product

Brass Product

Brass product usually with dull-white color, different with bronze that usually in brown-yellow color, but people just say bronze color or brass color. The color, strength, machine-ability, and corrosion resistance of brass are determined by the percentage of zinc and other metals present in the mixing of brass alloy. Brass alloy often use as trophy in sport competition because their color can resembles to silver.
